Tammy Wiksell

Tammy Wiksell

Mrs. Wiksell is the Administrative Director at Coastal Christian.  She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Columbia College and a Master’s Degree in Teaching / Secondary Education from The Citadel.  Before coming to CCPS in 2011, Mrs. Wiksell taught in the public school system. When asked what she loves about CCPS, Mrs. Wiksell says, “At CCPS, it’s so exciting to see students actively engaged with their teachers and peers, and it is a true blessing to witness the academic, spiritual, emotional, and physical growth that takes place on our campus throughout each school year!”  Mrs. Wiksell and her husband attend The Church at LifePark.

Linda Hollingsworth

Linda Hollingsworth

Mrs. Hollingsworth is the Athletics & Activities Director at Coastal Christian.  She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Clemson University.  Mrs. Hollingsworth has been at CCPS for 21 years, and she says her favorite thing about CCPS is the students. “They bring me great joy, encourage and inspire me to love life, cherish the moments, and to look for the good in everything!” Mrs. Hollingsworth and her husband attend The Church at LifePark.

Charles Stayer

Charles Stayer

Mr. Stayer is the Academic & Operations Director at Coastal Christian.  He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Charleston Southern University and a Master’s Degree in History from Liberty University.  Mr. Stayer has over 19 years of classroom teaching and administrative experience in the private school setting. He says his favorite part about Coastal Christian is the friendly and welcoming environment.  Mr. Stayer and his family attend Highland Park Baptist Church.

Andria Walrond

Andria Walrond

Mrs. Walrond is the Academic Enhancement Coordinator at Coastal Christian.  She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Wingate University.  In the past, she has taught in a variety of public and private schools in teaching positions ranging from Kindergarten to 6th Grade. Mrs. Walrond says the best thing about CCPS is the family atmosphere.  She loves that you can “always find a smile, a hug, or a word of encouragement whenever you need one!” Mrs. Walrond and her family attend The Church at LifePark.

Martha Williamson

Ms. Williamson serves as an Administrative Assistant and Bookkeeper at Coastal Christian, and she oversees Front Office activity. She says the best thing about CCPS is the family-like atmosphere and the love that everyone on campus has for one another.  Ms. Williamson attends St. Andrew’s Church.

Mrs. Anacleto is the Director of Finance at Coastal Christian and First Baptist Church Mount Pleasant. Mrs. Anacleto says the best thing about CCPS is the loving, safe and nurturing environment. She loves that “the students learn about God in everything they do!”

Audrey Livingston

Ms. Livingston is a 2K Preschool Teacher at Coastal Christian and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Family and Child Sciences from Florida State University. She loves watching her students learn new things each day and watching the excitement on their faces when they do something for the first time.  Ms. Livingston attends FBC Mount Pleasant.

Candice Mitchell

Mrs. Mitchell is a 2K Preschool Teacher at Coastal Christian and has been teaching preschool-age children for over fifteen years.  Ms. Mitchell shares that taking care of children has always been her passion, and she wanted to become a teacher even as a young child. She and her family attend Mount Nebo A.M.E. Church in Awendaw.

Mrs. Arbelaez is a 3K Preschool Teacher at Coastal Christian. Mrs. Arbelaez says that she became a teacher because she loves watching her students grow throughout the year, and she always learns a lot from them! Mrs. Arbelaez and her family attend Seacoast Church.

Megan Sennett

Ms. Sennett is a 3K Preschool Teacher at Coastal Christian.  She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from the University of Cincinnati and has taught preschool-age children for eight years. Ms. Sennett says she loves teaching because she learns as much from her students as she teaches them and loves her student’s inquisitive minds!  She attends Seacoast Church.

Ms. Book is a 4K Preschool Teacher and the ASEP Coordinator at Coastal Christian, and she has taught preschool for six years. Ms. Book says, “These children are the future, and having them in a safe, positive environment early on is so important.” Ms. Book attends Seacoast Church.

Ms. Chapman is a 4K Preschool Teacher at Coastal Christian.  She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Early Intervention from Winthrop University and has been teaching for six years.  One of her favorite things about teaching preschool is creating an environment that encourages fun and learning for her students. She attends St. Andrews Church.

Mrs. Cook says she chose to become a teacher because she loves to watch children’s excitement as they grow academically and spiritually.  Mrs. Cook and her family attend FBC Mount Pleasant.

Mrs. James teaches Preschool Bible and serves on our Preschool Support team at Coastal Christian.  Mrs. James says her favorite part about teaching is watching her students light up when she comes into the classroom to teach them about the Bible. She and her family attend FBC Mount Pleasant.

Ms. Sapienza serves in a Preschool & Campus Support role at Coastal Christian.  She has an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education from National University. Ms. Sapienza says her favorite thing about working at CCPS is having the opportunity to connect with students and their families on a personal level. Ms. Sapienza attends The Church at LifePark.

Mrs. Schuster serves on our Preschool Support team at Coastal Christian.  She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Union University and a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Louisville.  Mrs. Schuster has over 42 years of experience in education and says her favorite thing about teaching is interacting with her students.  She and her husband attend The Church at LifePark.

Emily McKeen

Mrs. McKeen teaches Kindergarten at Coastal Christian. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Multidisciplinary Studies and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from West Virginia University.  Before teaching Kindergarten at CCPS, she spent twelve years teaching Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 2nd Grade in North Carolina.  She chose to become a teacher because she wanted to make learning fun for children, and she loves how easy that is to do at CCPS!  Mrs. McKeen and her family attend City Life Church.

Ms. Seibel teaches Kindergarten at Coastal Christian.  She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from North Greenville University and before coming to CCPS, she taught in the public school system. Ms. Seibel is excited about teaching in a Christian environment at CCPS.

Marissa Allen

Mrs. Allen is a 1st Grade Teacher at Coastal Christian. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from College of Charleston and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and Fine Arts in Learning from Lesley University.  Mrs. Allen has previously taught Art and has had a variety of Elementary classroom teaching positions.  Mrs. Allen says she is excited to be a part of the Coastal Christian family, where she can teach and love children in a faith-based environment.

Anna Tate Reif

Anna Tate Reif

Mrs. Reif is a 1st Grade Teacher at Coastal Christian. She has a BS in Early Childhood / Elementary Education from Samford University and previously taught the public school system.  Mrs. Reif says she loves being a teacher because it allows her to be a lifelong learner.  She loves seeing her student’s excitement when something clicks for them and then being able to celebrate with them.  Mrs. Reif and her husband attend Grace City Church.

Kinsey Ehrhardt

Mrs. Ehrhardt is a 2nd Grade Teacher at Coastal Christian.  She earned her Bachelor’s Degree and her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Georgia.  Mrs. Ehrhardt loves the relationships that teaching allows her to build with her students.  She says, “I love seeing the world through a child’s perspective and learn just as much from my students as they do from me. It is such a gift to be able to watch children grow not only physically and academically, but spiritually and emotionally each day.”

Mrs. Godwin teaches 3rd Grade at Coastal Christian. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from College of Charleston. Before coming to CCPS, she in the public school system.  Mrs. Godwin says she became a teacher because she “strongly believes in the power of education to build up kids of character and knowledge who love truth, beauty, and goodness.”  Mrs. Reif and her husband attend Christ Church Presbyterian.

Lisa Hadden

Mrs. Hadden is the 4th Grade Homeroom Teacher at Coastal Christian, and she teaches the 4th Grade and 5th Grade English Language Arts and Social Studies classes. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Pennsylvania State University and a Master’s in Teaching from the University of South Carolina.  Mrs. Hadden has had a variety of teaching jobs in public and private schools, and also  in a bilingual school in Costa Rica.    She says she chose to become a teacher because she loves to watch children learn and to build relationships with them.  Mrs. Hadden and her family attend St. Thomas Anglican Church.

Doyle Philpot

Mr. Philpot is the 5th Grade Homeroom Teacher at Coastal Christian, and he teaches the 4th and 5th Grade Math, Science, and Bible classes.  He has previously served in a variety of positions at Christian schools in Ohio and South Carolina, including administration and teaching assignments ranging from 4K through 8th Grade. Mr. Philpot says he has wanted to serve as a teacher from a very early age and believes it is a calling from God to teach.  He and his family attend Seacoast Church.

Mrs. Loyd is the 6th Grade Homeroom Teacher at Coastal Christian, and she teaches Middle School ELA and Bible.  She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Louisiana State University and a Master’s Degree in Education from Centenary College, and she has been teaching for 33 years.  Mrs. Loyd says the best part about teaching is the JOY she receives each day from her students.

Mrs. Barron is the 7th Grade Homeroom Teacher at Coastal Christian, and she teaches Middle School Science and Literature.  She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Classics from College of Charleston, and she says she fell in love with the students here and God led her on the path of becoming a classroom teacher.  Mrs. Barron and her family attend Bible Baptist Church.

Mrs. Caddell is the 8th Grade Homeroom Teacher at Coastal Christian, and she teaches Middle School Math and Social Studies. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education from Marshall University.  Prior to joining the Coastal Christian family in 2017, Mrs. Caddell had a variety of public school teaching positions in 5th through 8th grades.  Mrs. Caddell says that she felt called by the Lord to become a middle school teacher at a very young age and feels incredibly blessed to be teaching at Coastal Christian! Mrs. Caddell and her family attend Asbury-St. James UMC.

Jennie Mings

Mrs. Mings is the Media Specialist at Coastal Christian. She has a Bachelor’s Degree from Auburn University and a Masters in Teaching from College of Charleston. Prior to coming to CCPS, Mrs. Mings taught in the public school system. Her favorite part about teaching at Coastal Christian is getting the chance to know every student and share the love of God with them while teaching.  Mrs. Mings loves to read and stay active in her free time.  Mrs. Mings and her family attend The Church at LifePark.

Laura Tyler

Laura Tyler

Mrs. Tyler teaches Spanish at Coastal Christian and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education and Spanish from Clemson University.  She has had several opportunities to teach Spanish over the last 15 years including in local public and private schools, at an international school in Mexico, and at Coastal Christian.  Mrs. Tyler says her goals as a teacher are to “give my students confidence in their Spanish skills, to broaden their borders, to help increase their love of God’s big world and all its people, and to aid them to step out into their next phase of life well-prepared.”  She and her family attend FBC Mount Pleasant, where her husband serves as the Senior Pastor.

Mrs. Whittaker teaches Art and Lower Elementary Physical Education at Coastal Christian, and she has been part of the Coastal Christian family for 26 years.   Mrs. Whittaker says her favorite thing about teaching is having the opportunity to connect with her students on a spiritual level and helping them acknowledge their God-given talents. She and her family attend Seacoast Church.

Mrs. Zimmerman teaches Music, Creative Movement, and Drama at Coastal Christian.   She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Pedagogy from Converse College and has taught piano for over 22 years in a variety of settings. She says she loves to teach because it is such a rewarding job, and she truly enjoys seeing her students enjoy what they are learning.  Mrs. Zimmerman and her family attend FBC Mount Pleasant.
