MyersCoach J.W. Myers teaches Upper School Social Studies and P.E as well as serving as the head Varsity Football Coach. Coach Myers is a graduate from Charleston Southern University, where he majored in Communications and minored in History. He is currently obtaining his Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary Education with an emphasis in Social Sciences from Liberty University. While at Charleston Southern University, Coach Myers started 4 years on the Offensive Line for the Buccaneer Football team and was selected to the team’s leadership council as a freshman. He was also selected as a team captain his senior year. As a player, Coach Myers earned All-Conference awards.

J.W. is originally from Jacksonville, Florida and attended Episcopal School of Jacksonville where he played football, basketball and participated in track and weightlifting. Coach Myers and his lovely wife Beth were married in 2012 and currently reside in Summerville, SC. He has an older sister who teaches first grade at Timberland Creek in Jacksonville, Florida. In addition to coaching and teaching, Coach Myers enjoys spending time with friends and family as well as surfing, weightlifting, fishing and playing golf. He attends Summerville Baptist Church.
