Mrs. Hutton Ivey is an Upper School Social Studies teacher at CCPS, and she coaches Varsity Girls Basketball and Cross Country. She graduated from Wake Forest University in 2014 with a major in History and minor in Secondary Education. Mrs. Ivey taught at James Island Christian School before joining CCPS in 2015.
Hutton is married to Alexander “Pud” Ivey. Pud grew up in Pawleys Island, SC and is a medical student at MUSC. They met at Wake Forest and got married in June 2014 in Signal Mountain, TN (Hutton’s hometown). They both love running, eating, and spending time with friends and family, and currently attend Christ Church Presbyterian in Mount Pleasant. One of the verses Hutton often looks to for assurance is Romans 1:16.“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, ‘The righteous shall live by faith.’”
