The Athletic Department at Coastal Christian Preparatory School (CCPS) views interscholastic athletics as an opportunity for student growth. In every level of participation within an organized, competitive environment, students are encouraged and challenged to excel.
At Coastal Christian students are invited to participate in all the sports offered. It’s a school where everyone can be someone, contribute, play, and excel in varsity sports.

While the ultimate goal of athletic competition may appear to be victory, the development of certain characteristics is much more significant.. These characteristics include fair play, sportsmanship, skill acquisition, and work ethic. Winning traditions are byproducts of a solid foundation. This foundation is built upon the concepts of listening to directions, communicating with others, hard work, school pride, respect of one’s self and of others, perseverance, character in action, and loyalty to the spirit of the game and one’s teammates.
Coaches, athletes, and parents alike must strive to ensure that the athletic teams at CCPS represent themselves in a manner that is conducive to competitive spirit, good sportsmanship, and Christian values.
The following pledge shown to the left and found in The Competitor’s Creed is one way to demonstrate such intensity. Click here to go to the Creed itself and sign the pledge. Special thanks to the Charleston FCA for their support of CCPS Athletics.
