FAQ

What is the Annual Fund?

The Annual Fund bridges the gap between tuition and the expenses designed to enrich the educational experience at CCPS. It also helps to fund initiatives that are outside the current budget.

Why don’t you just raise tuition?

CCPS is committed to keeping tuition affordable for our families, as well as providing our students and staff with the tools they need to accomplish their goals with excellence. While tuition is designed to cover our operating budget, it does not allow us to update and enhance our programs and resources. The Annual Fund fills that gap. Additionally, a gift to the Annual Fund is tax deductible, while tuition is not.

Why should I give?

Your gift to our Annual Fund reflects your commitment to the growth and exciting future of CCPS.  As others see a strong participation rate they are encouraged to participate as well.  Additionally, strong internal support from our school families enables us to confidently seek donations from external funding sources.

Where is the money distributed?

Classroom materials, student activities, technology, and professional development.

Annual Fund dollars for 2014-2015 were used in the following ways:

  • Sitewide Wifi Upgrade to boost bandwidth, speed, and reliability
  • Contect filtering for student access to internet
  • Network infrastructure upgrade to replace failing equipment and bring to current standards
  • SmartBoard speakers for all SMARTboards (16)
  • Teacher desktops (10) and laptops (13)

Is an Annual Fund common practice among other schools?

Yes. Many other private schools (including several locally) have Annual Funds (sometimes called “Loyalty Funds”) in place

Can I designate where my donation is applied?

Yes, by clicking the DONATE NOW button you can indicate your designation and we can earmark your gift for that need.
